Carbon-based mixtures and additives have found a vast application in steel manufacture. Carbon is a must in EAF (electric arc furnace) technology where it is used for foaming of slags. It is also used as a charge for ladles and buckets. A number of foundries use it for intensification of thermal reactions and as a reducing agent.
Pulverised coal for injection (PCI) is a process that involves blowing largevolumes of fine coal granules into the blast furnace of steel mills, pig ironproducers and pellet plants. We offer high-quality PCI grades forapplications where it is in constant requisitions.
